Trellix - Alejandro de la Flor Memorial Scholarship
Trellix are funding this perpetual scholarship in memory of Alejandro de la Flor who passed away in 2008. Alejandro was an Erasmus exchange student who studied in the Department of Computer Science during the 2007/08 academic year. Alejandro did work placement with Trellix while he was in Cork. Tragically, Alejandro passed away soon after he returned to Spain. The value of this scholarship will be €3000 per year and will be awarded to a third year Computer Science student each year. The scholarship will be paid to the recipient for year 3 and year 4 of their academic programme. McAfee will also offer the holder of the scholarship work placement during year 3 of their degree programme.
2016/17 Academic Year
Louise Walsh, BSc (Hons) Software Development will receive the bursary for the next two years and has secured work placement with Trellix. Louise is from Passage West and attended Regina Mundi College Douglas before entering MTU in 2014.
2017/18 ACADEMIC YEAR
Patrick Dacoliat, BSc (Hons) Software Development will receive the bursary for the next two years and has secured work placement with Trellix.
2022/23 Academic Year
Dylan Spaenij, BSc (Hons) Software Development is the 2022/2023 Scholarship Awardee and has secured work placement with Trellix in January 2023.
