Programme Stages

The MSc in Information Design and Development is a 90 credit masters with a number of embedded awards or stages.  On successful completion of the stages students will be awarded the following:

  1. Stage 1: Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) in Information Design & Development (60 ECTS)
  2. Stage 2: Master of Science (MSc) in Information Design & Development (30 ECTS)

Please note that if a student successfully completes Stage 1 of this programme, the MSc award will supercede the PGDip award.

Semester 1 (Sept 2017, 20 credits):                       €1400
Semester 2 (Jan 2018, 20 credits):                         €1400
Semester 3 (Sept 2018, 20 credits):                      €1400

Total cost for Postgraduate Diploma in Information Design & Development = €4200

Master of Science in Information Design & Development (90 ECTS)
Semester 1 (Sept 2017, 20 credits):                       €1400
Semester 2 (Jan 2018, 20 credits):                         €1400
Semester 3 (Sept 2018, 20 credits):                       €1400
Semester 4 (Jan 2019, 30 credits project):            €2100

Total cost for Master of Science in Information Design & Development = €6300

Duration & Delivery

24 months (4 semesters) is the minimum duration.

The MSc in Information Design and Development is delivered and accessed fully online using state of the art Cloud based technologies. Lectures are delivered online by night and streamed live over the Internet and recorded to facilitate easy playback to students. The programme offer great flexibility to students as they can access their lectures and labs anytime, anywhere on any device that has a Web browser.

Admission Requirements

Applicants who hold a Level 8 degree in any discipline are eligible to apply for the MSc in Information Development programme. Applicants who do not hold a Level 8 degree but have significant industrial experience will be considered on a case by case basis.

Award

Master of Science in Information Design & Development (Level 9 on the National Framework of Qualifications).

Single module certification is also possible.
