artificial intelligence Toni Ressari is an adjunct lecturer in the Information Design & Development module. She holds a MS in Technical & Scientific Communication from James Madison University (JMU) in Virginia, USA. Toni taught technical communication courses and business writing at JMU. Toni worked as a technical writer for Rosetta Stone Inc., an international language learning software development company, where she helped develop the information development process. S he is now an information consultant for software development companies in Europe and the U.S. She is an Adobe Tech Comm Partner and authorized Adobe Tech Comm Suite trainer.

Short Description of module

Information Design & Development focuses on developing skills to enable information developers design and develop technical documents. Students will learn how to create, write and present clear and effective scientific and technical documents. Students will also learn to design and develop a design template and apply a styling convention using best practices.

What to expect when taking the module

This module focuses on developing skills to enable information developers to design and develop technical documents. Students will learn how to create, write and present clear and effective scientific and technical documents using a styling convention and best practices. The course consists of interactive lectures, including guest lecturers with expertise in information development, to help students understand the current and future issues in information development. Projects are designed for practical training in developing technical documents.
