This a 60 credit master's degree programme which is taught online. The programme is delivered part-time by night over two years (four semesters). On successful completion of the programme, the student will be awarded an MSc in Artificial Intelligence.

Fees

The MSc in Artificial Intelligence is a 60 credit programme, the cost per 5 credits is €625.

  • Semester 1 (15 credits): €1875
  • Semester 2 (15 credits): €1875
  • Semester 3 (15 credits): €1875
  • Semester 4 (15 credits): €1875

The total cost for the MSc in Artificial Intelligence programme is €7,500. Fees can be paid in instalments of €3750 each year or €1875 each semester. For further information please contact fees@cit.ie.

Duration & Delivery

This is a two-year part-time programme taught over 24 months (4 semesters). The programme is delivered and accessed fully online using state of the art Cloud based technologies. Lectures are delivered online by night, streamed live over the Internet and recorded to facilitate easy playback to students. This offers great flexibility for students who can access lectures and labs anytime, anywhere on any device that has a web browser.

The CIT programme code for this part-time online master's degree is CR_KARTI_9. The year one class code is KARTI_91Y5 and the second year class code is KARTI_92Y5. These codes may be required when contacting staff in the Institute.

Admission Requirements

Entry to the MSc in Artificial Intelligence will require a minimum of a Level 8 honours degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computing or an honours degree in a cognate discipline. As this is an expert level programme, it is essential for applicants to have a strong proficiency in mathematics, including statistics, and an advanced level of coding competency in a modern high-level computer programming language such as Python or Java. Applicants who do not meet the above criteria will be considered on a case by case basis. Please see the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) page for further details.
