Laura Climent

Biography

Laura is an assistant lecturer in the Cork Institute of Technology. Before this, she did postdocs in the Institute of Financial Big Data in the Universidad Carlos III (UC3M) and in the Insight Centre for Data Analytics in the University College Cork in Ireland. She obtained her Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Universitat Politècnica de València. In the same university, she studied a B.Sc. in Computer Science and a M.Sc. in Artificial Intelligence, Pattern Recognition and Digital Image. In addition, she has participated in several Spanish and Irish research projects involving decision analytics and optimisation. Her research interests and expertise include Optimization Problems, Stochastic Optimization, Constraint Programming and Boolean Satisfiability, Linear Programming, Metaheuristics, Data Mining and Machine Learning.
