Programme Stages
The MSc in Information Design & Development is a 90 credit master's degree programme which is taught online and consists of 60 credits worth of taught modules and a 30-credit project. The programme is delivered part-time by night over two years (four semesters) with a number of embedded awards or stages. On successful completion of the stages students will be awarded the following:
- Stage 1: Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) in Information Design & Development (60 ECTS)
- Stage 2: Master of Science (MSc) in Information Design & Development (30 ECTS)
Please note that if a student successfully completes Stage 2 of this programme, the MSc award will supercede the PGDip award.
Fees - Postgraduate Diploma in Information Design & Development
The Postgraduate Diploma in Information Design & Development is a 60 credit programme, the cost per 5 credits is €350.
- Semester 1 : €1400

Fees - Master of Science in Information Design & Development
The MSc in Information Design & Development is a 90 credit programme, the cost per 5 credits is €350.

The total cost for MSc in Information Design & Development programme is €6300. Fees of €1400 can be paid in instalments for each of the first three semesters and €2100 for the fourth semester as shown above. For further information please contact fees@cit.ie.
Duration & Delivery
The MSc is a two-year part-time programme taught over 24 months (4 semesters). The programme is delivered and accessed fully online using state of the art Cloud based technologies. Lectures are delivered online by night, streamed live over the Internet and recorded to facilitate easy playback to students. This offers great flexibility for students who can access lectures and labs anytime, anywhere on any device that has a web browser.
PROGRAMME CODES
The CIT programme code for this part-time online master's degree is CR_KINDD_9. The year one class code is KINDD_91Y5 and the second year class code is KINDD_92Y5. These codes may be required when contacting staff in the Institute.
Admission Requirements
Applicants who hold a Level 8 degree in any discipline are eligible to apply for the MSc in Information Development programme. Applicants who do not hold a Level 8 degree but have significant industrial experience will be considered on a case by case basis.

Master of Science in Information Design & Development (Level 9 on the National Framework of Qualifications).
