Teaching Heroes for 2016
04 October, 2016
Dr Aisling O'Driscoll has been selected as one of the Teaching Heroes for 2016. The teaching hero campaign 2016 aimed to identify and celebrate the impact that innovative and inspiring teachers in Higher Education are having on their students’ learning. Working in partnership with the Union of Students in Ireland (USI) and other student bodies the National Forum launched the second National Teaching Hero campaign on February 4th 2016.
Individual students nominated their Teaching Hero through an online nomination form. Based on student nominations, local student working groups identified up to two teaching heroes within their institution to receive a National award. Over 2000 nominations across 25 higher education institutions were submitted since February. A total of 42 teaching heroes will be celebrated and will receive their award at an event in the Printworks, Dublin Castle on October 27th 2016.
